The changes of light and shadow on the facade continue to evolve with the rising and setting of the sun, making the building's appearance as lively as poetry.

The fusion of existence and time, the dance of light and shadow creates a unique artistic expression in every place. It is not only the shaping of appearance, but also the transmission of the soul of space and the memory of culture. Through design, the texture of materials is integrated with the changes of the environment, allowing the building to show immortal charm in the passage of time.
Every curve and straight line is a profound interpretation of aesthetics, creating visual harmony and dialogue.
Explore and feel the poetry of space.

The Empty Volume

Creating an Empty Space
A space is designed as an open volume to accommodate the need for product displays. The structure of this space itself becomes the primary theme of the exhibit.

Exhibit Hall Design
The exhibit hall utilizes two main design approaches. First, an exposed concrete structural frame supports a 15-degree inclined wall, creating a space that conveys tranquility while holding an underlying tension. Second, water and louvered elements are used to enhance the transparency of the glass space in a pure, refined manner. Water flows between the interior and exterior, cooling the space, while the louvers are angled according to the sun's path, serving as a functional substitute for curtains, providing shade while maintaining transparency.

Ni Ang Guild Hall

This is a "gift" from the builders to the city—a lightweight "paper box" created by folding white mesh-like materials. As natural light filters through the mesh openings, the indoor light changes with the rhythms of the seasons and the day’s transitions, creating varying atmospheres. When night falls, the structure transforms into a transparent, glowing object. At its core rests a red glowing sphere, likened to a "heart," pulsating with light amidst the darkness.

Ching Chi Office

With over 20 years of professional experience in public facility design, our organization possesses extensive practical design experience and has long been committed to the pursuit of "meaning of existence." Our services encompass architectural design, facade design, interior design, interior installation design, and outdoor landscape design. We are passionate about holistic cross-disciplinary integration, from large-scale architectural concepts to small details. Our design thinking encompasses all elements within the space, including both large and small objects, related indoor and outdoor elements, and even their management and usage direction. We continuously seek to reflect the value of life and existence in our work, daily life, and creations.

The core of our design philosophy is to express spatial imagery that possesses a "sense of presence." Our works often feature walls, shadows, reflections, water, and interfaces, all within a framework of simple geometry, creating a tranquil atmosphere in the space. By incorporating design techniques such as "the flow of time, theatrical concepts, nature's intrusion, and contrasts of light and darkness," we utilize intangible elements to deepen the design, thereby influencing the viewer's perception and authentically representing the existence of life.

Layered Mountain Formation
The architecture features minimalist, slab-like volumes arranged to create a layered mountain-like effect. Using refined materials such as stone, glass, and metal, it achieves a subtle, sophisticated texture.

Hidden Greenery and Water Amidst Urban Blocks
A space effect of "water and greenery" is crafted, allowing airflow to permeate and reducing urban heat.

Green Park-Like Base Permeability
The building is integrated within fragmented urban plots, creating a tranquil atmosphere that transitions from disorder to order.

Seasons Flowing Within the Mountain
The building terraces reflect seasonal changes, designed to evoke the seasonal imagery found in classical poetry.

Clouds Resting on the Building
The top-floor amenities are designed like a mountain peak, with hot pools and outdoor dining areas creating a unique communal space at the building's summit.

Incubation

The development of the architectural design and concepts for this meeting center took almost three years just like its name implies……..
What values are manifested in the spatial design?

1 / A sense of existence of space
Certain spaces generate irreplaceable features that leave a deep impression on humans
Fair-faced concrete which, like pottery, is hard to fathom......
The stairs emerging from the wall seem to be floating in midair……
A clock is suspended up high, awaiting the sound of time
Daylight spreading from gaps and crevices....
The painting-like view features a complete wall which functions as a door.....
Moonlight and reflections in the pool….traversed by humans.......
Miniature versions of large trees create potted landscapes.....
What is hidden behind these towering doors that can be found everywhere?..........
Space provides humans with unique features for visual and philosophical musings!

2 / Sense of human existence....
Interactions between humans and space....
Human usage methods mold a sense of care and attention....
Humans who bred and nurtured this space...
pervade and linger in this courtyard interacting with the users....
Humans waiting for a public bus and the sound of the bell underneath the bell tower...
Humans reading books and observing light patterns in the study....
Humans assembled in the meeting hall to accomplish a certain mission........
Humans acquiring culinary knowledge in the dining hall...
Humans listening to stories whispered by the wind....
These humans who interact with the space
Jointly create a unique and irreproducible life experience which has an independent existence……

Office building S floor lobby

A BUILDING WITHIN BUILDING/
We have employed an embedded design concept for this simple and plain-looking building which is about to be completed.
We aim to create a lobby space that leaves a deep impression on all visitors and also serves as an entrance to the basement exhibition area.
Due to the fact that the size of the space which has been reserved for the lobby area is quite limited, we had to use slanted walls to create the visual impression of a heightened space. We also took advantage of the translucent quality of natural stone to convert the ceiling and attached walls and rain canopy into a luminescent panel and use this additional light source to create a visual perception of width to mitigate the impression of constrained space.
To enhance the visual effect for visitors, we used a dark stone material to build M-shaped low door frames for the airlock entrance and exit areas to create a stark visual contrast for visitors in order to achieve the desired theatrical effect.
We use contemporary forms and shapes to evoke a church-like atmosphere with a futuristic tinge.

Wall

Yearning for a sense of security, yet igniting a desire to peek beyond,
it creates a "between" that separates the inner from the outer.
The simple imagery seems to possess its own magnificent soul,
a reminder of memories that have lingered deep within since childhood.

“Wonderful beauty can also be seen in the water.”

Nanny's House, a treasured city gift, embodies the intimacy of a daughter's wedding and enduring community bonds. Its exterior features white metal mesh, resembling delicate paper, adorned with a transparent film mesh, folding into a lightweight "cardboard box."

Space of Presence

Buildings are not only places to live, but also containers of time, witnessing every daily moment.

Expressing historical memories through modern design language in a space is a profound approach. In this concept, the glass corridor becomes the central design element, allowing external views to layer upon each other, as if time's fragments intertwine within the space. This method is inspired by the aesthetic of traditional Japanese spaces, where transitions and layering subtly reveal the interplay of history and reality. At the same time, through the flow of water and the interaction of light and shadow, the design seeks to capture a trace of historical atmosphere preserved through time.

In this outdoor landscape square, time seems to stand still, and the pulse of life whispers softly in every corner. An elegant water corridor guides the dance of light and shadow, reflecting the perfect fusion of nature and art. Thoughtfully designed public amenities, such as comfortable relaxation areas and activity spaces, foster community interaction and connection, allowing everyone to find their sense of belonging here.

The design of the livable balcony brings a cozy private space where residents can enjoy peaceful afternoons under the sun, feeling the gentle caress of the breeze. The towering book wall acts like a window, illuminating every inch with the brilliance of knowledge, creating a tranquil and harmonious atmosphere. Every detail tells a story of existence, inviting people to cherish the present and appreciate the beauty of life and the passage of time.
