In this space design, simple horizontal and vertical lines create a calm yet powerful setting that guides viewers as they enter. At the entrance, the design gradually deepens in color, compressing the space and creating a subtle sense of pressure that pulls the viewer into a deeper transitional realm. This gradual deepening of dark tones not only adds visual depth and mystery but, by compressing spatial proportions, also evokes a psychological transition for the viewer, building anticipation as they move forward.
As they proceed, the space opens into a bright, transparent central area. Here, the use of clear materials and natural light lifts the atmosphere from the previous dark compression into openness. This shift from dark to light creates a rhythmic flow, transforming the experience from constraint to release. At the end of the structure, the design thoughtfully borrows from the distant landscape, a “borrowed scenery” approach that draws the surrounding nature into the interior as an integral part of the space.
Ultimately, the view leads the observer into an expansive landscape, with the ground unfurling like an ancient scroll of literati painting, allowing one to step into a scene shaped by the changes of the four seasons. A refined, modern glass pavilion sits within, like a viewing platform, inviting visitors to pause, reflect, and experience the changing seasons. With the interplay of sunlight, wind, and time, this setting becomes a natural canvas, embodying reflections on life and time while offering a serene retreat in modern life.
