On Chongqing South Road, filled with memories of the past, the design is inspired by the dewy lotus leaves of a summer garden and the old book pages of the literary treasures on Guling Street. Throughout the various spaces, the lighting fixtures and suspended ceiling lights emulate these elements: mailbox designs resembling stacked books, the dining space featuring circular cages, and reflections of green water light at the pool, all evoking glimpses of local heritage. The hope is for time to linger gently within these spaces.

Amidst a lush forest filled with diverse trees, multiple luminous glass spaces utilize abstract forms of stone (square), wood (triangular), and bamboo (linear) elements. These are applied in the lobby, dining area, and library, with low windows designed to bring in refreshing air. Natural light and breeze intertwine within the space, creating a house in the forest.

Expressing historical memories through modern design language in a space is a profound approach. In this concept, the glass corridor becomes the central design element, allowing external views to layer upon each other, as if time's fragments intertwine within the space. This method is inspired by the aesthetic of traditional Japanese spaces, where transitions and layering subtly reveal the interplay of history and reality. At the same time, through the flow of water and the interaction of light and shadow, the design seeks to capture a trace of historical atmosphere preserved through time.

Through elements such as the pavilion on the pond, light and shadow cast by grille lines, orderly metal "candle" lights, a stone bridge crossing water, a towering metal double-door entrance, and the bamboo-lined main wall in the lobby, we aim to create a new design style in Tainan’s ancient capital, rich in cultural hints and memories.

The lobby features white stone with gray veining as a backdrop, complemented by a communal kitchen for urban lifestyle gatherings, offering a majestic space experience with books, events, and an exquisite aesthetic that accommodates gatherings with guests and communal dining.

Additional amenities, including floating spaces over water, dual fitness areas, and a second-floor library with a rich collection of books, as well as dual garden spaces on the rooftop, display the refined lifestyle of a hotel-style residence in Tainan's newly developed areas.

At night, the tranquil metal grille components gently diffuse light, creating a lantern-like base structure. Combined with small hills, woodlands, and water features, this urban sanctuary serves as a serene garden—this encapsulates the essence of "Tao Li Yuan" in its name.

Through large-scale site design, a grand sense of space is showcased. The repetition of large chandeliers connects the main areas, while reflective materials enhance the mirror effect, creating an expansive visual impression.

In the lobby, flowing sheer curtains, metallic drapes, and stone-carved screens are utilized, along with exclusive floating sculptures, to present an abstract effect reminiscent of wind movement.

The interior space integrates green plants and insect elements, allowing light to filter through the sheer curtains, filling the area with natural vitality. Outdoors, greenery and water features are installed, with insect-shaped lighting placed along corridors and bridges, recreating the enchanting scene of fireflies on summer nights.

Different textured wall materials (such as stone and fair-faced concrete) are used to create a sense of spatial layering. Distinctive structures like illuminated walls and tree canopies deepen the theatrical effect of the space through the interplay of sound and light.

In this tranquil environment, various elements are blended, allowing time to flow within the space and enabling people to feel the passage of time. The design concept emphasizes the relationship between space and dynamics, nature, theatrical atmosphere, and the flow of time, aiming to create a rich sensory experience.

"Cangjing" is a spatial design concept centered around the sense of presence, exploring four key design directions: memory, change, nature, and light. The goal of this design is to achieve a unique sense of simplicity in a chaotic environment, allowing people to find tranquility amid the noise.

As visitors approach the main entrance, they unexpectedly encounter a serene small front yard, complemented by a clear water-cast concrete wall and thoughtfully designed openings, creating a space closely connected to the outside world. The transparent glass lobby is enveloped within, allowing the movement of people and vehicles to flow naturally and unobtrusively, as if this place is merely a still courtyard.

The design incorporates water features and towering beech trees, adding dynamic interest, while the use of understated gray tones, mirrored water-like lacquered glass ceilings, and soft yellow lighting creates a gentle indoor atmosphere. The outward view is meticulously controlled to present a clean and tranquil backdrop.

Ultimately, "Cangjing" maintains a special sense of simplicity within a complex environment, offering individuals a space for reflection and calm, thereby enhancing the overall aesthetic experience.

In the expansive courtyard enclosed within the grounds, candle-like lights are arranged in neat rows, casting an evocative glow. The reflective water basins mirror the surroundings, and as the wind moves, dynamic water reflections capture the eye, drawing focus to the interplay between candlelight and water, creating an inviting entrance experience.

The grounds are filled with vertically aligned bald cypress trees, arranged to form woodland paths. Over the grassy areas lies a suspended bridge, allowing unbroken sightlines and inviting a tranquil walk surrounded by lush greenery. Windows in the pavilions offer places to pause, framing forest-like views and delivering a rare sense of tranquility within the city.

The lighting design emphasizes broken line lighting, featured along corridors, lobby ceilings, pool walls, and dining room chandeliers, casting soft, candle-like illuminations. Outdoors, glossy stone pavement reflects subtle light at night, creating a dappled interplay of shadow and light.

The choice to make a secondary road the main entrance to the community creates a tranquil urban green space facing the main road, responding to the noise of the commercial street. The aim is to establish a residential community that offers a sense of seclusion amidst the bustling city.

Layers

The open, wall-less facade allows passersby to gaze into the community through pools and sculptures. However, with layered walls and extended eaves that gradually lower, a sense of depth and spatial layering is achieved through horizontal and vertical elements, reminiscent of the transition and deep spatial layers found in traditional Chinese gardens.

in a deep Color leading the viewer going to the lobby.
There is a view to the garden of wide and bright scene.
Finally walking into a landscape which is like a ancient humanity painting
And seated in a modern glass booth to feel the changeable mother natural.

I wonder if you feel the same as I do.
About certain scenes... there's an indescribable, vague, yet deeply moving emotion.

Recording is like a silent movement, capturing every moment and change in the space. From the agility of the artwork to the integration of natural elements, every frame tells the story of existence. This is not only a display of space, but also a profound exploration of art and life, allowing every viewer to find resonance in it.

This is a "gift" from the builders to the city—a lightweight "paper box" created by folding white mesh-like materials. As natural light filters through the mesh openings, the indoor light changes with the rhythms of the seasons and the day’s transitions, creating varying atmospheres. When night falls, the structure transforms into a transparent, glowing object. At its core rests a red glowing sphere, likened to a "heart," pulsating with light amidst the darkness.

In the shimmering play of light, there lies a luxurious boutique apartment reminiscent of the Eastern Express, intricately immersed in a symphony of history and style. Every inch whispers the language of time, exuding endless elegance.

Like a hidden paradise in the skyline, the rooftop pool offers breathtaking views of the city, where a gentle breeze caresses, inviting you to indulge in the moment. The dynamic interplay of traffic and surrounding environment creates a dreamlike dwelling.

Let each pause in the bustling city be a poetic tribute to time itself.
